Now that this singular school year is over, you can finally relax a bit for summer. But we know that as much as this season can be a time of fun and relaxation, it can also be a time of learning loss for students. That’s why we want to encourage you to continue accessing the free activities on our website to keep skills strong and prevent gap growth. In addition to our reading, math, STEM, and writing activities, we’ve added a new set of Skill Building resources. This series spans grades PreK–8, and covers basic skills for each grade level such as reading comprehension, test-taking practice, sentence structure, math proficiency, and science and social studies subject matter. Participating in academic activities each day keeps children engaged and can help them maintain and grow their academic skills. Next year will have its own set of challenges, don’t let learning loss be one of them.
